Charles Paulson Of Herman Dead

Farmer West Of Herman 29 Years To Be Buried This Afternoon

Charles A. Paulson, 67, who came to America from his native Sweden when 20 years old and who had resided on the same farm west of Herman the past 29 years, died Monday in an Omaha hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services are being held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Methodist church in Herman, the Rev. A. W. Clarke officiating, and burial will be in Herman cemetery.

Mr. Paulson was born at Skona, Sweden, May 18, 1872, and later was confirmed there as a member of the Lutheran faith. He came to America in 1892, first settling in Pennsylvania. Later coming to Omaha, he was employed ten years in the packing houses before moving to a farm near Lake Quinnebaugh, north of Tekamah, in 1906.

He was married in Blair in 1908 to Ellen Anderson of Oakland, and three years later they moved to their present farm.

Surviving Mr. Paulson are his wife; a daughter, Miss Ruth Paulson of Omaha; two sons, Roy and Edward Paulson of Herman; two brothers, Oscar of San Francisco and John in Sweden; and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Tabor of Denver, Mrs. Adolph Salstrom of Chicago and a sister in Sweden.
