John M. DeVivo, 59

John Michael DeVivo, age 59, of Blair, Nebraska, passed away April 17, 2015, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair after an extended illness.

John was born October 17, 1955, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended Holy Family Grade School, St. Albert High School and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1974. He married Laurie Jo Crane of Council Bluffs on March 5, 1977.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laurie (Crane) DeVivo of Blair; son, Luke (Heather) DeVivo of Omaha; daughters, Heather (KC) Winz and Shannon DeVivo, all of Blair; six grandchildren; mother, Doris (Ellis) DeVivo; brother, Steven (Connie) DeVivo of Broken Arrow, Okla.; sisters, Patricia Holder, Nanci Schnitker, both of Council Bluffs; special brother-in-law, Jack Holder of Council Bluffs; sisters-in-law, Julie Larm of Omaha and Kristie (Calvin) Romrell of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brother-in-law, Steven (Diane) Crane of Council Bluffs; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his father, Frank H. DeVivo, in 2012; in-laws, Norman and Janet Crane; sister-in-law, Leslie Crane; and brother-in-law, Stephen Larm.

John has been cremated. Interment of ashes will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
