Terry William Hoxsie, 65

Terry William Hoxsie, age 65, of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, was taken to his forever home on June 23, 2015. He was born on November 19, 1949, in Clearwater, Nebraska, to Vernon and Lorena (Prawitz) Hoxsie. Memorial services will be held Friday June 26, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

The Hoxsies settled in Blair, Nebraska. Terry attended Blair High School and graduated in 1967. Following graduation, Terry went off to attend Trade School to become a bricklayer. Terry continued to lay brick for 43 years and in eight different states. He had a passion to create works of art, with an eye for perfection.

On October 5, 1985, Terry married Priscilla Metzler, the love of his life. With marriage he fathered three children whom he loved very much.

Grateful to have shared his life: his wife of 29 years Priscilla Hoxsie, his children: Cora (Randall) Koernke of Dell Rapids, SD, Alan Tilson of Broken Arrow, OK and Kristi (Brian) Marks of Noblesville, IN; his 8 grandchildren: Maranda (Dustyn) Nelson of Dell Rapids, SD, Chris Koernke of Sioux Falls, SD, Cory (Ashley) Koernke of Sioux Falls, SD, Seth Tilson of Broken Arrow, OK, Cassie Koernke of Dell Rapids, SD, Ashly Tilson of Indianapolis, IN, Cortney Marks of Noblesville, IN, and Kyle Marks of Noblesville, IN; his 5 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Makayla, Layla, Braxton and Isaac; his sister Sandie Jack of Kennard, NE, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Lorena Hoxsie; brother LeRoy (Butch) Hoxsie, niece Jill Swanson and parents-in-law Calvin and Cora Metzler.

A luncheon will be held immediately following services at the Blair VFW.
