DEATH TAKES EARL BURDIC

Funeral services for Earl C. Burdic, 79, longtime civic leader at Norfolk, will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at the First Congregational Church in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Mr. Burdic died Tuesday in a Norfolk hospital.

A native of Herman, Nebraska, he was associated with his father in the Plateau State Bank there before entering the real estate business at Norfolk in 1932.

Mr. Burdic is a past president of the Nebraska Realtors and the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Maude; a son, Eugene W. of Malvern, Iowa; brother, Lloyd D. of Omaha; sister, Mrs. Robert Daugherty of Omaha; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Herman Cemetery at Herman, Nebraska.

FORMER BANKER, EARL BURDIC IS BURIED AT HERMAN

Graveside services were held at the Herman Cemetery Thursday afternoon for Earl Burdic who was a resident of Herman for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Burdic moved to Norfolk several years ago where they had since made their home. Lunch was served in the Baptist Church after the funeral for the relatives and a few friends. Mrs. Marcus Kroger and Mrs. Henry Truhlsen were in charge of the lunch.
