Washington Resident Expires Last Friday

William Kerstetter Was County Resident for 31 Years.

William Aaron Kerstetter was born in Snyder County, Pennsylvania, March 8, 1864, and died at his home in Washington last Friday. He grew to manhood in Pennsylvania and in April 1882 he was married to Miss Alice Reber. To this union eight children were born, four of whom are living. The deceased came to Nebraska in 1883 and located on a farm near Hooper where the family lived until 1899 when the family moved to near Washington. In 1918 he removed to Washington where he lived until his death.

He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife, two sons, Frank of Norfolk, and Ernest of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Bergmann of Kennard and Mrs. Roma Jefferson of Omaha. Two sons, Harry Eugene and Edward Elmer and two daughters, Lucy May and Mrs. Nina Johnson, preceded him in death. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Kerlin of Port Treverton, Pa., and thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from the family home in Washington last Sunday with Rev. C. T. Dillon, pastor of the Valley and Elk City Methodist parishes, officiating after which burial was in the cemetery at Hooper.

# 2 - - Enterprise, July 17, 1930 Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 13, for William Aaron Kerstetter at Washington, Neb., the home of the deceased, who passed away July 11, following several months illness with heart trouble. Rev. Dillon had charge of the services.

The deceased was born March 8, 1864 at McKees Half Falls, Penn., and was married to Alice I. Reber April 23, 1882, who survives him.

Mr. Kerstetter came to Nebraska in 1883 and was a resident near Hooper until 1899, when he moved to Washington where he resided until his death. He was very highly respected by all the community and leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss.

The surviving members of his family are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Bergman of Kennard and Mrs. Roma Jefferson of Omaha; two sons, Frank of Norfolk and Ernest of Washington, Neb., and thirteen grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Emma Kerlin of Port Trevorton, Penn. also survives.

Burial was made in the Hooper cemetery where a crowd of friends gathered to pay their last respects.
