Harold Kraybill Buried Today

Harold Kraybill passed away at the Blair Hospital Tuesday morning, October 19th. He had been ill since the first part of August.

Mr. Kraybill and his wife moved to Blair in February of 1948. He served as County Welfare Director for six and a half years. Then for two and a half Mr. and Mrs. Kraybill were Supt. And Matron of the Florence Home in Omaha. Mr. Kraybill was in Welfare work at Tekamah and Norfolk for several years before returning to Blair. For the past four and a half years he has been the County Veterans Service Officer.

He was active in the Christian Church and has served as an Elder. He was also a member of the World War I Barracks, the V.F.W., the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Kraybill was born November 15, 1894 at Abilene, Kansas. On Febr. 2, 1921 he was married to Ada McKenney at Auburn, Nebr.

Survivors besides his wife Ada are four brothers, Herbert of Wakefield, Kansas; Emmett of Barrington, Illinois; Paul of Grand Junction, Colorado; Frank of Miami, Oklahoma and a sister, Mrs. Grace Linn of Madison, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. on Thursday, October 21st at the First Christian Church in Blair. The Rev. Gail Dunning will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery with the Bendorf Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Robert Richards, Bill Trisdale, Eugene Clements, Lloyd Petersen, Clifford Halbert and Richard Jensen.
