Daniel Koziol, 60

Daniel Koziol age 60 of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, died July 4, 2015, at his cabin in Niobrara, Nebraska, that he had just completed. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday July 10, 2015, at Country Bible Church in Blair, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Koziol Pond following services. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday at Country Bible Church in Blair.

Daniel Koziol was born on August 16, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Stanley and Nora (Tennyson) Koziol. He attended Holy Cross and then Ryan High School. He owned and operated his own construction company in Omaha, Koziol & Son Construction. He was currently working at Omaha Home for Boys as a Facilities Director. Dan loved his job and the people he worked with.

Dan was passionate about his family, and always made sure to let them know how much he loved them. He will be remembered for giving the most amazing bear hugs that would make any person feel special and loved. He especially enjoyed taking his grandsons and the rest of the family fishing on the pontoon. He won Jody’s heart with his great sense of humor and wit.

He had a servant’s heart, a man with a true faith and relationship with our Lord, and enjoyed helping others, especially his family. He was a fine craftsman, and had a broad range of skills for building and repairing several things, whether it be a house, boat or chicken coop. He enjoyed spending time in the home that he built for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jody of Fort Calhoun, son Tom Koziol of Fort Calhoun, daughter Ann (Ryan) Pawol of Omaha, David (Natalie) Koziol of Fort Calhoun, grandchildren Daniel “Danny” and James “Jimmy” Pawol, brother David (Damaris) Koziol of Brenham, Texas, Diana and Grace Hagge of Blair, sister-in-law Kelly Cano and Ted Croft of Bellevue, brother in law Willie (Susan) Agans of Lenox, Iowa, nieces, nephews, many friends and all the family dogs.

Memorials may be directed to Hold Your Horses Equine Center in Fort Calhoun.
