Gene L. Salsbury age 69 of Blair died July 2, 2015, at his home in Blair.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00PM Tuesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Funeral services 2:00PM Wednesday at Great Commission Baptist Church in Blair, Nebraska, with a reception to follow.

Gene L. Salsbury was born on July 29, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Charles A. and Anna S. (Lamb) Salsbury. He was raised in Blair and attended Blair Community Schools. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 and then served in the Army Reserve until 1969 when he was honorably discharged. Gene was talented in many trades he was a welder, truck driver, machinist, and worked in the construction industry.

Gene enjoyed building things in his spare time. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors and with his family.

Survived by wife Sherry, son Chuck (Jenny), and daughter Hollie, all of Blair, grandchildren Haleigh, Rileigh, Jacob and Elijah, and his beloved dog Koda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Floyd Salsbury and infant son Alan Scott.

Memorials may be directed to Great Commission Baptist Church in Blair.
