Mildred H. Kroeger, 77

Services were held March 6, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard for Mildred (Andersen) Kroeger, who died March 3, 1989. Rev. Debra Tompsett Welch officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service. Judy Scholting was soloist. Interment was at the Prairie View Cemetery.

Mildred was born January 27, 1912, to A.C. and Trena Andersen and lived most of her life in Washington County except for nine years when she lived in Douglas and Burt Counties. She graduated from Blair High School and taught for six years at District No. 47 in Douglas County.

On June 5, 1935, she married Henry Kroeger. To this union were born three daughters. Mildred and Henry farmed for 40 years and have lived the past 35 years on a farm near Kennard. Mildred was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Colby Corner Extension Club and a Friday afternoon card club. She enjoyed entertaining and keeping a contact with her children and 12 grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Henry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Mike Casey, St, Joseph, Missouri; Jeanne and Barton Fleck, Gretna and Linda and Ron Madsen, Blair; 12 grandchildren, Dan, Michele, Shawn, Karin and Corey Casey; Brenda, Diane, Julie, Jayne and Brad Fleck; Ryan and Erin Madsen; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Mathia Casey; and one brother, Raymond Andersen of Arlington.

Pallbearers were two nephews, Derald and Jim Erickson and the five grandsons; Dan Casey, Brad Fleck, Shawn Casey, Ryan Madsen and Corey Casey.

Memorials may be given to Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard.
