Mrs. C. O. Krogh died at 1:30 yesterday morning of pernicious anemia. She had been gradually failing for five or six years but had only been confined to her bed for about three weeks. The funeral will be held at the residence south of town at 2 o’clock tomorrow, Rev. F.T. Rouse, pastor of the First Congregational church, Omaha, officiating. Miss Clara Johnson was born on the old homestead up on York creek, Dec. 2, 1858, and would therefore have been 53 years of age had she lived until that time next month. She was married to C.O. Krogh, Jan. 10th, 1883, and four sons were born to them, all of whom are living except Edwin, who died while they were living at Newman Grove. The other boys are Harvey, Raymond and Everett. Besides the husband and three sons, she leaves five sisters, Mrs. Andrew Anderson, of Wisner, Mrs. F.P. Bugeon and Mrs. Jas. Gustason, and Misses Matilda and Josephine, of this city. Most of her married life was spent in Newman Grove where Mr. Krogh was in the mercantile business. About twelve years ago they moved here and Mr. Krogh was in the hardware for a time. For several years past they have lived in their new house on the farm just south of town. Mrs. Krogh was a member of the Congregational church and last Sunday afternoon Rev. Geo. R. McKeith and deacons C.G. Pollock, Chas. Ross and Mrs. Alta Wainwright went out and administered her last sacrament on this earth. She was a true wife, a loving mother and a loyal friend. The entire community joins in expressing heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband and family.
