Albert (Ben) Oliver, 65, of Fort Calhoun, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, in Fort Calhoun.

Services are 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #348 of Fort Calhoun.

Albert Oliver was born Aug. 9, 1934, to Benine and Christine Oliver in Moline, Ill.

On Dec. 24, 1960, he married Shirley Kriegler in Ralston. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, woodworking, playing pool and cards, horse racing and going to the casino.

He was a member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion Post #348.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chan and Lisa of Fort Calhon; Corey and Nancy of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law, Doninee and Randy Bohanan of Corning, Iowa; four sisters, Diane Pinney-Droke of Portland, Ore.; Gean Gonzalez of Chicago, Ill.; Mary Jo Fenstad of Houston, Texas; and Linda Aldrich of Omaha; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dick; and a sister, Betty.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
