MRS. OTTO G. FRAHM

This community was shocked and grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Otto Frahm, which occurred at her home here early Monday morning, Dec. 19. While she had been in ill health for some time she had until a couple of days before her death attended to her household duties, but the end came quickly following a physical collapse Friday night.

Mrs. Frahm’s entire life was spent in this vicinity, being born here Dec. 3, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schmidt, Sr. She was married Dec. 11, 1902 to Otto G. Frahm, who with their two children, Richard and Gertrude, survive her, as do her parents; one sister, Mrs. Jahnel of Kennard; and three brothers, Peter, William and Henry, all of this vicinity.

The untimely passing of this most estimable woman is a personal loss to everyone who kenw her, while to the loving husband and children, it is indeed a grievous blow, and to them the sincere sympathy of all is extended.

The funeral service, conducted from the home Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Frank, were attended by a large number of friends, many of whom followed the remains to their final resting place in the Calhoun cemetery.

The entire school was shocked Monday morning to hear that Mrs. Otto Frahm, mother of Gertrude had died. Gertrude is a prominent member of the Junior class and the entire High School extend their heartfelt sympathy to Gertrude.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday in Calhoun for Mrs. Otto Frahm who died suddenly from an attack of pleura-pneumonia. Mrs. Frahm was past forty years of age and was Emma Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schmidt of Ft. Calhoun. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, one son, Richard, aged 18, one daughter, Gertrude, aged 16, her parents, one sister, Mrs. Fritz Jahnel of near Kennard and three brothers, Peter, Will and Henry of near Calhoun.
