Evelyn Staples, 86, of Herman died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Blair.

No visitation will be held. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Evelyn Sheets was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Herman to Clayton and Lucy (Miller) Sheets. She attended Herman Grade School.

She was married to Lloyd Staples Sr., who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Lloyd Staples Jr. of Herman, and Dennis and Shelley Staples of Fremont; daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and James Clark of Rio Rancho, N.M.; granddaughters, Tabitha Rosas and Stacia and husband Jeff Owen; grandson, Christopher Clark; great-granddaughters, Mayle Owen, Adalina; and sister, Violet Krueger of Omaha.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
