Etlar Olsen, 87, of Blair, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. No visitation will be held.

Etlar Olsen was born March 14, 1917, in Detroit, Mich., to Ole P. And Kristine (Hendricksen) Olsen.

He lived in the Blair area all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, and served from November 1942 until November 1945.

Mr. Olsen was married to Helen Ninegar. He was assistant postmaster in Blair, where he worked fo 36 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Blair, and the Blair American Legion.

He is survived by four sons and daughtera-in-law, John Olsen and Thomas nd Nancy Olsen, all of Blair, James and Judy Olsen of Tekamah, and Donald and Maria Olsen of York; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ed Orcutt of Fort Collins, Colo.; a half-sister, Freda Kilgo of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1998, and a brother, Roland.

Memorials are suggesed to the Blair Rescue Squad.
