SERVICES FOR CURTIS COOK HELD ON MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday for Curtis I. Cook, a lifelong farmer and Livestock feeder of the Arlington area. Mr. Cook had died Wednesday evening, July 3rd at the Eventide Rest Home at Longmont, Colorado.

He was born January 24, 1904 near Arlington. He spent his entire life on the familiar Cook farm southeast of Arlington. He was the fourth owner of the land and the third generation of the Cook family to occupy the farm. He was the son of Myron Cook and Lenora Eakin, pioneer farmers of the Arlington area.

The deceased was a 1921 graduate of the Arlington High School. In 1960 he studied and became qualified to preach and conduct services in the Omaha District of the Methodist Conference. He filled a number of assignments of varying lengths of time.

He had served the Fremont Congregational Church for six months prior to his last illness. He had served two terms on the Crowell Home Board. He was a member of the Fremont Congregational Church and also the Sons of the American Revolution.

He is survived by his wife, Olga, to whom he was married August 18th, 1928. A daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Akeson, resides at Longmont, Colorado. There are three grandsons.

Funeral services July 8th were held at the Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home in Fremont with the Rev. Guy McClure of the Crowell Memorial Home in Blair in charge of the service. Burial was made in the Arlington Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Cancer Fund of the Crowell Home at Blair.
