George L. Cook of Omaha, a brother of Joe S. Cook, of Blair, died at his home in Fairacres, last Friday, aged 73 years. The funeral was held on Sunday but Mr. Cook could not get there to attend, as no trains were running on the M. & O. that day. His daughter, Miss Mary, endeavored to go down in an automobile, but got only as far as Calhoun and had to abandon the trip. The deceased was quite well known in Blair.
