Services for Ruie M. Cook, 86 of Arlington who died March 28, 1992 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont are 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at Arlington Community Church. Rev. Richard D. Siders will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Ruie M. Cook was born January 30, 1906 in rural Blair. She grew up in the rural Blair area and graduated from Blair High School.

She married Lawrence M. Cook at her parents’ home November 5, 1930. They farmed in the Arlington area for over 50 years.

She moved to A.J. Merrick Manor in October, 1991.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Mollie Blankenbeckler Thompson; brothers, Howard and Earl Thompson; and sisters, Grace and Edna Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence at Merrick Manor; three sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Shirley Cook of Nickerson, Leslie and Ida Cook of McKinney, Texas and Dr. David and Anita Cook of Omaha; a son, Dr. Kenneth Cook of Sidney; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may go to the Arlington Over 60 Center or American Diabetes Association.

Ruby House will be organist. Shirley Schmidt will be soloist.

Honorary pallbearers are Brian Cook, Mike Cook, LeRoy Dunklau, Robert Pfeiffer, Harry Wulf and Dr. Greg Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Dan Cook, Guy Cook, Dan Thompson, Frank Braun, Jim Becker and Walter Pfeiffer.

Moser Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She was a member of the Just for Fun Club and a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Blair.

Ruie passed away from this life on Saturday, March 28, 1992 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 28 days.
