Shirley V. Cook, 63, of Fontanelle, died Friday, March 3, 2000 at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. The Rev. Charles Bichel will officiate. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Shirley V. Cook was born Feb. 14, 1937, in Schleswig, Iowa. She moved with her family to Omaha in the late 1040’s and lived there until moving to Fontanelle in 1965.

On June 16, 1961, she married Howard M. Cook in Omaha. She was a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Omaha.

She is survived by her husband; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angi Cook of Fremont; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Frank Braun of Arlington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Kathy Bielenberg of Pocatello, Idaho, Richard and Ann Bielenberg and Loren and Cheryl Bielenberg, all of Omaha; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice Heye of Scribner, Judy and Bob Kersenbrock of Omaha and Maylou and Russell Brook of Boston, Mass; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leslie and Ida Cook of McKinney, Texas, Dr. Kenneth and Denise Cook of Sidney and Dr. David and Anita Cook of Omaha; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Arlington Over 60 Center or the Arlington Rescue Squad.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
