Services for William S. Cook of Arlington were held on Monday at the Arlington Community Church.

Cook, 81, died Friday 13, at Dodge County Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

He was a farmer and commercial sheep shearer for 55 years in several Midwestern states. He retired from farming in 1962, and began working at Consolidated Blender Alfalfa Dehy Plant in Arlington. He retired from there in 1972.

Rev. Robert Saunders officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony Monday. Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home of Arlington was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Robert, Raymond and Howard Cook, and Ronald, Jim and Jay Peterson. Organist was Mrs. Ruby House and soloist was Mr. Melvin Misfeldt.

Cook was born January 26, 1906, in Arlington, where he lived all his life. He was a member of the Arlington Community Church, and the Over 60 Center in Arlington.

Cook married Goldie E. McClanahan on July 9, 1932. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1981.

He then married Regina Ahlemeyer Walkenhorst November 18, 1983, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington.

He is survived by his wife Regina; sons Robert Cook of Basking Ridge, New Jersey; Raymond Cook of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter Mrs. Ronald (Marilyn) Peterson of Superior; two step-sons, Duane Walkenhorst of Phoenix, Arizona, and Larry Walkenhorst of Arlington; two brothers Lawrence Cook of Arlington and Joe Cook of Honey Creek, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mabel) Scheer of Fremont, and Mrs. Wendell (Norma) Wolles of Florissant, Colorado; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cortez and Amy (Krajicek) Cook; his first wife, Goldie; a brother, Raymond Cook, and an infant son, Arnold Cook.

Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested by the family to the Diabetes Association.
