FATHER OF ARLNGTONITE DIED SATURDAY

Services for John Everett Coon, 64, of Fremont, were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Fremont. Mr. Coon died Saturday in an Omaha hospital after four years illness. The Rev. Samuel J. Hemphill of the Methodist Church in Arlington officiated. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery.

Born August 2, 1899, in Farnam, Mr. Coon lived in Gothenburg for a short time and had lived in Fremont for the last three years and in 1946-61. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1923 until his retirement in 1960. He was married April 29, 1919, at North Platte.

Survivors include widow, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Phyllis) Lockhart of Arlington, and Mrs. Vernon (Vivian) Hansen of Norfolk, Virginia; three brothers, Clarence of Bridge, Montana, and Ed and Archie of Brady; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. George Neuman of San Antonio, Texas.
