MRS. SUVERKRUBBE RITES SATURDAY

Mrs. Amanda Suverkrubbe passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hansen on February 14, where she had made her home since last fall.

Mrs. Suverkrubbe was born April 11, 1879 at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She was Amanda Clara Rohn before her marriage to Gustave Suverkrubbe on September 8, 1897. They lived in Pierce County until 1902 when they moved to a farm south of Ft. Calhoun.

Mr. Suverkrubbe died in 1934 and Mrs. Suverkrubbe lived with her son Earl for four years. She then stayed at the Carl Hansen home for seven years before making her home in an apartment in Ft. Calhoun for eight years. In October 1961 she returned to the Hansen home.

Mr. and Mrs. Suverkrubbe were the parents of 10 children. Six of them are surviving. Also 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Those surviving are: Wm. and Earl of Ft. Calhoun; George of Blair; Mrs. Ray (Tena) Chew of Omaha; Mrs. Carl (Anita) Hansen and Mrs. Tage (Luella) Christensen of Blair. Two brothers, John F. and Henry E. Rohn of Fremont also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Presbyterian Church in Ft. Calhoun. The Rev. Donald Killin will officiate. The Sievers Funeral Home is in charge and burial will be in Ft. Calhoun cemetery.

Her grandsons, John Suverkrubbe of Ft. Calhoun; Marvin Hansen of Fremont; Ronnie Christensen and Larry Suverkrubbe of Blair; and great-grandsons-in-law, Gale Maine of Calhoun and Gary Pease of Blair will be pallbearers.
