FLORENCE E. ARONSON, 103

Washington County native Florence E. Aronson, 103, of Tekamah, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at the Tekamah Health & Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah with Rev. Charity Forbes officiating. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home, with a special prayer service at 7 p.m.

Florence E. Aronson was born Aug. 11, 1900, in Washington County to William and Cora (Beales) McDonald.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mabel Aronson of Herman, Bill and Barbara Aronson of Overland Park, Kan.; daughters and sons-in-law, Lila Rapier of Metaire, La.; Joan Connealy of Tekamah, and Donna and Mike Donelan of Lynchburg, Va.; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester; brothers, Donald and Laurel McDonald; sister, Dorothy Brandert; son-in-law, Neal Connealy.

Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church or the donor’s choice.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah is in charge of arrangements.
