GEORGE D. OLSEN DIED THURSDAY AT BLAIR HOSPITAL

George D. Olsen, well known Blair businessman, died Thursday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He had been ill a number of months suffering with cancer.

The deceased was born at Kennard, Nebraska September 17, 1928. He was 48 years of age at his death.

George was operating a tavern in Blair prior to his illness.

He is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis McKercher and by three children. They are George Olsen, Jr., Nancy Lou Olsen, and Jerri Lynn Olsen, all of Blair.

His father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. James Olsen, of Carter Lake, Iowa, also survive his death.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Saturday morning. Father Daniel Galas of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church conducted the service. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

Three brothers and a sister also survive. They are James Olsen of Blair and Steve and Stanley Olsen of Carter Lake, Iowa. The sister is Ella Mae Skinner, of Carter Lake.

Pallbearers were Earl Kahlandt, Fred Gilliland, Allie Millrons, John Derry, Lawrence Scott and Jim Long.
