RUTH SUVERKRUBBE, 84

Ruth Suverkrubbe, 84, of Fort Calhoun, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Ruth Thornam was born Jan. 27, 1924 in Omaha to Hugo and Florence (Sorensen) Thornam. She attended elementary school in District 32 of Omaha, graduated from Omaha Tech High, and attended the Van Sant School of Business for two years.

She lived in Douglas County for 32 years and moved to Washington County in 1956.

On June 6, 1964, she married Albert Suverkrubbe in Fort Calhoun.

Mrs. Suverkrubbe was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; sons, John Stout of Buckeye, Ariz.; and Jesse Stout of Scribner; two grandsons; a granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Thornam.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad or the American Legion Auxiliary No. 348.
