SUVERKRUBBE FUNERAL HELD IN FT. CALHOUN

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 23 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church for William A. (Bill) Suverkrubbe, 85, who passed away on December 20 at Blair. Reverend Margaret Schroeder officiated and burial was made at Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bill Suverkrubbe was born on January 8, 1901 at Pierce, Nebraska to Peter Gustav and Amanda Rohn Suverkrubbe. The family moved to Fort Calhoun when he was a few months old.

He attended Green School District 49 and Omaha Business School (1920s). In later years he was on the school board of Green School.

Bill married Ada Ruth Jenkins in Blair on June 29, 1929. They lived on farms southwest of Fort Calhoun until 1979 when they moved to Blair. Mr. Suverkrubbe has lived at Crowell Home since June of 1984.

He was a Past Master of Solomon Lodge AF & AM and Past Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star, and was a fifty year member of both. Bill and his wife, Ruth, were members of Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church and were active in Mariners Couples Club.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Gary Pease of Omaha; daughter-in-law, Mrs. William E. (Jean) Suverkrubbe of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, George Suverkrubbe; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Anita) Hansen and Mrs. Tage (Louella) Christensen; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family asks that memorials be directed to the Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders Association.
