SERVICES HELD FOR DELORIS ARP TUESDAY

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 24, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard for Deloris J. Arp, 55, of rural Kennard, who died August 21, 1982, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont.

The Rev. Russell Saltzman conducted the services. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Deloris Arp was born June 3, 1927, in Hooper, Nebraska. She lived at Hooper until she was 12 years old when her family moved to Fremont. In 1945, she graduated from Fremont High School.

She was married February 15, 1945, at Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle, Nebraska, and lived at Kennard following the marriage. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church at Kennard and the church circle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Clinton W. Strong; an infant son, Steven Albert; and two brothers, Carl Strong and John Strong.

She is survived by her husband Albert; her stepmother, Mrs. Bernice Strong, Puyallup, Washington; five brothers, Joe, Harry, Cliff, Larry and Jim Strong, all of Fremont; five sisters, Mrs. Elvira Heller and Mrs. George (Loretta) Iverson, both of Fremont; Mrs. Jerry (Judy) Goad and Mrs. Ron (Dana) Sedorski, both of Puyallup, Washington; and Mrs. Paul (Susan) Ortega, Tacoma, Washington; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Strong, Fremont; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Roy Johnson, Merlin Popken, Ivan Anderson, Lyle Thielfoldt, Devan Thielfoldt and LeRoy McCann.

Mrs. Merritt Klotz was organist. Mrs. Clare Cowing was soloist.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements for the services.
