Services for Richard L. Svendgard, age 64, who died May 16, 1993 at Crowell Memorial home after a lengthy illness, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery with military rites.

Richard L. Svendgard was born March 3, 1929 in Blair to Andrew and Mildred Svendgard. He spent his entire life in the Blair area except for four years when he served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a 1946 graduate of Blair High School. He owned and operated the Blue Ribbon in Blair for 22 years.

He was a member of the Blair American Legion; Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Kendall; daughter, Kathy; step-daughter, Shirley Dragon of Omaha; four grandsons; one granddaughter; two step-granddaughters; one step-great-grandson; one step-great-granddaughter; two brothers, James of St. Petersburg, Florida and Andy of Arlington; and two sisters, Betty Stoetzel of Hastings and Judy Lumm of Covina, California.
