SERVICES FRIDAY FOR AMANDA SVOGERSON

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. for Amanda M. Svogerson, who died Wednesday, June 11, 1980, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Pastor John Peteren will conduct the services at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard.

Burial will be in Kennard Cemetery.

Amanda M. Svogerson was born February 15, 1896, to Henry and Emma (Voss) Tietgen in Bennington. She married Alfred Svogerson and lived in the Kennard area most of her life. At the time of her death, she was living in Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, in 1937. Her parents, six brothers, and one sister also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Christine) Thompson of Blair. Two sisters, Meta Kracht, Wheaton, Minnesota; and Emma Overseth, Paramount, California; three brothers, Christ Tietgen, Wayne, Nebraska; Albert Tietgen, Herrick, South Dakota; and Hans Tietgen, Gregory, south Dakota; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren also survive her.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.

SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR AMANDA SVOGERSON

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 13th for 84 years old Amanda Svogerson who died on Wednesday, June 11th at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital. The services were at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with the burial in the Kennard Cemetery. Rev. John Petersen officiated and Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Amanda Svogerson was born at Bennington, Nebraska on February 15, 1896. She was married to the late Alfred Svogerson. Mrs. Svogerson had lived at 1421 Lincoln Street in Blair.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Christine) Thompson of Blair; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Meta Kracht, Wheaton, Minnesota; Emma Overseth, Paramont, California; Hans Tietgen, Gregory, South Dakota; Chris Tietgen, Wayne, Nebraska; and Albert Tietgen, Herrick, South Dakota.

Pallbearers were Elmer Soll, Alvin Voss, Clarence Voss, Ervin Voss, John W. Voss, and Martin Voss.
