Alan K. Biffar, 48

Alan K. Biffar died July 28, 2015, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Country Bible Church in Blair. Alan K. Biffar was born on September 24, 1966, in Blair, Nebraska, to William and Marjorie (Sass) Biffar. He was raised in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1985. Alan spent much of his time as a youth at his aunt and uncle’s, Victor and Deb Sass’s farm. On January 23, 1987, he joined the United States Navy serving as a boiler technician third class. On January 22, 1991, was honorably discharged from the Navy. After the Navy he lived briefly in Virginia and then returned to Blair. He was employed with DL Blair, Peel’s salon services and MACC. In 1995 he met Joy Miller and the two were married in Blair on March 12, 1999. The couple made their home in Blair.

Alan enjoyed playing coed softball with Joy, bowling on Friday and Saturday leagues, and camping and fishing with family and friends.

Alan is survived by his wife Joy, children Josephine Biffar and Louis Biffar, father William Biffar and his wife Carolyn, twin brother Keith Biffar and special friend Theresa Flynn, sister Amy (Jim) Telford, brother Kent (Lisa) Biffar, sisters-in-law Mary (Richard) Higgins, Bonnie Shelor and special friend Jeff Mahan, brothers-in-law Jim Beachler and Don Miller, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Biffar, and mother- and father-in-law Floyd and Geraldine Miller.
