RUTH L. SWAN, 77

Services for Ruth L. Swan, 77 who died December 14, 1992 at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa were Thursday, December 17 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson, Nebraska. Rev. William Stanton officiated at the service. Burial was at the Wakefield Cemetery.

Ruth Roberts was born December 3, 1915 at Yankton, South Dakota to Harry and Louisa Ambrosia Roberts. She graduated from Wayne State Teachers College and taught school for many years. She worked at the Wakefield hospital for 15 years.

She was very active in her church and many local clubs. She also enjoyed the activities at the Emerson Senior Center.

She married Marvin Killion on June 17, 1937. They farmed in the Wakefield area until he died in November 1984.

She married Fay Mattison January 25, 1971. They made their home in Emerson, Nebraska. He died in September, 1984

She married Herbert Swan June 17, 1987.

In addition to her two husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son and a step-son.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert; children, Elizabeth (Betty) Wilcox and her husband, Duane of Kennard; Neil Killion and his wife, Lynn of San Diego, California; and Mary L. Willoughby and her husband, Ron of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Roberts of Morris, Minnesota; step-children, Maxine (Mrs. Jim) Sherlock of Emerson; Jim and his wife, Bonnie Mattison of Emerson; Dorris (Mrs. Duane) Lundy of Valley, Nebraska; Morris and his wife, Jeanette Swan of Cody, Wyoming; Robert and his wife, Donna Swan of South Sioux City, Nebraska; Donald and his wife, Evon Swan of Fremont, Nebraska; Patricia (Mrs. Loren) Hansen of Denver, Colorado; Janice (Mrs. Dennis) Mittelstaedt of Fremont, Nebraska; and Herbert and his wife, Barbara Swan of Norfolk, Nebraska.
