BEN SWANSON IS BURIED IN OAKLAND

Funeral services were on Wednesday, January 30, at the First Lutheran church in Oakland for Ben Swanson, 81, of Blair.

Swanson died Sunday in a Blair hospital of natural causes.

He was born November 15, 1898 in Jamshog, Sweden. He had been a resident of Blair for the last seven years. He previously lived in Oakland and Craig.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former May Gillies, who died September 22, 1970.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Eunice) Masters, Blair; and Mrs. Dorlin (Helen) Drieling, Mead; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery.
