CECIL SWANSON, 69

Services are 11 a.m. Tues., Oct. 22 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel for Cecil Swanson 69 of Fremont who died at her home Oct. 18, 1996. Rev. Chris Kester-Beyer of Emmaus Lutheran Church of Kennard will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Cecil Swanson was born April 26, 1927 in Van Buren, Ark., to leonard and Jewel Wishon Smith. She grew up in Arkansas.

In the late 1940s, she moved to Omaha. Then she lived in Kennard and in Oakland, Neb. In 1975, she moved to Fremont. She had worked at Campbell Soup Co. and later retired from working at Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

The former Cecil Smith Trudell married Marvin Swanson in Lincoln July 24, 1970. She was preceded in death by one grandchild and her father, Leonard Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin; four sons, Roger Trudell of Santee, Neb.; Joseph Trudell of Fremont; and Rodney Trudell and Timothy Trudell, both of Omaha; five daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Harley) Dillon of Arlington; Phyllis (Mrs. Rodney) Rosenbaum of Kennard; and Edna (Mrs. James) Baumann, Denise (Mrs. Rex) Zimmerline, and Shelli Trudell, all of Fremont; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Jewel Carson of Merced, Calif.; a sister, Ruth (Mrs. Gene) Parks of Wasco, Calif.; and two brothers, Leon Smith of Rogers, Ark. and William Smith of Atwater, Calif.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
