WARREN LOSEKE, 70

Warren A. Loseke, 70, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997 in Raleigh, N.C. Services were Friday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh.

Mr. Loseke was born July 13, 1927. He graduated from Arlington, Nebraska High School in 1945. At the end of World War II, after serving in the Navy, he attended Creighton University in Omaha, where he received his bachelor of science in chemistry degree in 1951. He then served in the Korean Conflict on the USS Bon Homme Richard. In 1953, he began his career with Quaker Oats in Omaha as a chemist. Later he moved to Forest Park, Ill., and worked for IIT Research Institute in Chicago. In 1971, he moved to Raleigh, where he worked with the Environmental Protection Agency in Research Triangle Park until retiring in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Beverley; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Amy of Garner, N.C.; Russell and Beth of Greensboro, N.C.; Brian and Lisa of Cary, N.C.; and Kyle and Lisa of Plymouth, Mich.; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
