EMMA LOTTMAN

Emma Lottman, 92, 1340 Maxwell Ave., died Saturday, March 12, 1988 at Arbor Manor, Inc., 2550 N. Nye Ave.

She was born Oct. 11, 1895 in Washington, Mo. She came to Nebraska as a young woman and farmed with her husband in rural Arlington until retiring in 1961, when they moved to Arlington. They moved to Fremont in 1979.

Mrs. Lottman was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and St. Paul’s Ladies Aid, both in Arlington.

Emma Nieburg married Paul W. Lottman May 11, 1922 in Arlington. He survives.

Other survivors include one son, Earl Lottman, Fremont; one daughter, Esther (Mrs. Lynn) DeWanz, Elgin, Ill.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington. The Rev. Dennis Maaske will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home, Arlington.

A memorial has been established to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

EMMA LOUISE ANNA LOTTMAN

Emma Louise Anna Lottman, the daughter of Karl and Emma (Thormann) Nieburg, was born October 11, 1895, at Washington, Missouri. She was baptized October 25, 1895 and confirmed April 4, 1909 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, Missouri. Emma came to Nebraska as a young woman. She married Paul W. Lottman on May 11, 1922 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Arlington, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and together with her husband farmed in the rural Arlington area until retiring in 1961, when they moved into Arlington. In 1979 they moved to Fremont, Nebraska.

Emma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide.

Emma passed from this life on Saturday, March 12, 1988 at Arbor Manor in Fremont, Nebraska at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 1 days. She is survived by her husband, Paul; a son, Earl Lottman of Fremont; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Esther) DeWanz of Elgin, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Julius, Emil and William Nieburg; and sisters, Lydia Stranghoener and Helen Bolton.
