BETTY JANE LOTZ, 59

Services for Betty Jane Lotz, 59 of Bancroft, Nebraska who died August 28, 1993 at the Pender Community Hospital were Monday, August 30 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft. Rev. David Grimm officiated. Burial was in the Bancroft City Cemetery.

Betty Jane Lotz was born May 4, 1934 in Woodbine, Iowa to Marshall and Doris Gravert Block.

She married Lester L. Lotz in West Point, Nebraska at Grace Lutheran Church September 17, 1951.

She served as AAL president for 32 years. She taught Sunday School for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Jean Hermelbracht.

She is survived by her husband, Lester of Bancroft; one daughter, Lori (Mrs. Don) Archer of Blair; one son, Lex of Omaha; four grandchildren, Jennifer Archer; Derek Archer; and Holly Archer, all of Blair; three sisters, June (Mrs. Lester) Wegner of West Point; Wenda (Mrs. Tom) Nichols of Tacoma, Washington; and Judy (Mrs. Cliff) Achilling of Wisner, Nebraska; one brother and his wife, Bill and Marilee Block of LaMoille, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Lauren Hermelbracht of Bancroft; and many nieces and nephews.

Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender was in charge of arrangements.
