Hugh Lowe died of pneumonia at the home of his son, F. W. Lowe in Herman Sunday morning at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 22 days, after an illness of only five days. Mr. Lowe was an old resident of that community, coming to Burt county about twenty-eight years ago and settling on the farm two miles north of Herman where he died. He leaves a wife, seven sons and two daughters, all grown to manhood and womanhood, and twenty-seven grandchildren. The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church at Tekamah and were attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends.
