KATHERINE LOWE, 92

Katherine Lowe, 92, of Blair, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Katherine Lowe was born Aug. 10, 1911, in Corning, Iowa to John and Lulu (Hankins) Searl. She attended school in Jameson, Mo., and received her teaching certificate from Maryville College in Missouri. She taught school in St. Joseph, Mo., for 15 years.

On July 22, 1950, she married Paul Lowe in Winnipeg, Canada. The couple moved to Blair in 1991 from Hutchinson, Minn., where they had lived for 25 years.

Mrs. Lowe was a member of Eastern Star at Decatur, and First Christian Church in Blair.

She is survived by a sister, Gertrude Lary of Centerville, Iowa; sister-in-law, Lois Searl of Story City, Iowa; six nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; four sisters and one brother.

Memorials are suggested to the Herman Chapter of Eastern Star or First Christian Church.
