STANLEY R. LOWE DIED TUESDAY AT PHOENIX, ARIZONA

Stanley R. Lowe, long-time resident of the Herman area, died last Tuesday, February 25th at a Phoenix, Arizona hospital. He and his wife had spent the winters in Arizona for the past 24 years. They had lived at Sun City for 11 years.

The deceased was born November 26, 1897 at Seward, Nebraska, but came to Herman many years ago.

He was married to Mildred Swanson who survives. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star of Herman.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, Robert S. Lowe, who lives at Casper, Wyoming. A sister, Mrs. Pearl Richter, lives at Glendale, Arizona. There are two brothers, Gordon Lowe of Apache Junction, Arizona and August Lowe of Herman.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Methodist Church last Saturday, March 1st. The Rev. Zack Kleinsasser conducted the service and burial was made in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.

At the cemetery, Landmark Lodge No. 222 A.F. & A.M., William Hart, Worshipful Master, performed graveside ceremonies.

Pallbearers were Dick Lowe, Bill Cameron, Glenn DeVasure, Terry Cameron, Mack Cameron, and Roy Austin.

Honorary pallbearers were Lester Curley, Emil Follen, A. I. Magill, Wilbur Lowe, Fred Guyer, Earl Sheets, Waldo Hancock and Dave Cummings.
