Dwayne James Jensen, 79

Visitation for Dwayne James Jensen, age 79 of Blair, will be held Saturday August 8 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Private graveside services will be held at Rosehill Cemetery north of Orum. Mr. Jensen died August 3, 2015, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Dwayne was born on October 23, 1935, in Blair and graduated from Blair High School. He was employed as a welder on nuclear power plants and belonged to The Boilermakers Union. He was the business owner of the Topper Café, Jensen Liquor Store, The Prop Shop, Fontanelle Saw Mill and the Valley Nebraska Mobile Trailer Park. His hobbies included owning race cars. He also loved restoring John Deere tractors including one belonging to his father.

Mr. Jensen is survived by sisters Doris Daniels (husband Marvin), Virginia Rhoades (husband Kenneth), both of Blair, and brother David Jensen (wife Phyllis) of Fromberg, Montana; nieces Candace Suverkrubbe and Kim Swanson of Blair, Penny Overmann of Elkhorn, Nebraska and Cindy Hanson of Bear Creek, Montana; nephews Mark Rhoades and Ricky Detjens of Blair and Rodney Jensen of Vallecito, California.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents Ellece and Arthur Jensen and Ruth Eleaine Jensen of Blair, and special friend Mary Christensen of Blair.

Memorials may be directed to Rose Hill Cemetery or to the organization of the donor’s choice.
