HENRY T. LUBKER, 88

Services were Monday, May 6 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont for Henry T. Lubker, 88 of Fremont and formerly of Nickerson, who died May 3, 1991 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Rev. Jack W. Berry officiated. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Cedar Bluffs.

Henry T. Lubker was born January 27, 1903 at Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska to John F. and Alvina Daufelt Lubker. He grew up in the Cedar Bluffs area.

He farmed in the Cedar Bluffs area and worked at the Farmer’s Union Coop Elevator in Cedar Bluffs. He moved to Nickerson in 1938 where he was manager of the Nickerson Farmers Union Coop. He and his wife moved to Fremont in 1984.

He married Ruby McCauley February 14, 1924 at Fremont.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran church, Fremont and a former member of Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle. He was a charter member of Golden “K” Kiwanis and a charter member of DeMolay, both in Fremont; a member of the Omaha Elk’s Lodge No. 39, and had been an Elk member for 43 years. He also was a former member of the Nickerson Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Fern; and a sister, Filda Lubker.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; a son Leon Lubker, Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Colleen (Mrs. Marvin) Peterson, Fremont; four brothers, John F. Lubker Jr. of West Point; Arthur Lubker, Francis Lubker and Vernon Lubker, all of Cedar Bluffs; two sisters, Alvena Lubker of Cedar Bluffs; and Katheryn (Mrs. Daniel) Hallstrom of Seattle, Washington; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Lubker, Lyle Lubker, Robert Lubker, Eugene McCauley, Norman Schneider and Harold Roumph.

Organist was Jane Schlotterback.

Memorials may be given to the church or American Diabetes Association.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
