Ruby A. Lubker, 105, of Fremont, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at the A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment will be at 1:40 p.m. Friday in the Union Cemetery, located south of Cedar Bluffs.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Ruby A. McCauley was born April 2, 1902 in Cedar Bluffs to Robert and Mary (Moore) McCauley. She grew up in Cedar Bluffs, and graduated in 1920 from Cedar Bluffs High School. She attended Fremont Normal College (now known as Midland Lutheran College), and received her teaching certificate, then taught in District 60 until her marriage.

On Feb. 14, 1924, she married Henry T. Lubker in Fremont.

The couple moved to Nickerson in 1938. Mrs. Lubker worked as a bookkeeper at the Nickerson Farmers Union Coop as well as other grain elevators managed by her husband. The couple moved to Fremont in 1984.

Mr. Lubker was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont, where she participated in the church circle. She was a charter member of the Fremont China Painters.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Doris Lubker of Arvada, Colo.; daughter, Colleen Peterson of Fremont; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1991; an infant daughter, Fern; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church or Odyssey Health Care of Fremont.
