MRS. WM. E. LUCKE TO BE BURIED JANUARY 30th

Mrs. Wm. E. Lucke (Elsie) died early Monday afternoon, January 27th at the Crowell Memorial Home where she has been a resident since August 1969.

Elsie Quigley was born November 29th, 1896 at North Bend, Nebraska. She taught school before her marriage to Wm. E. Lucke on January 30, 1924. They lived at Rogers, Nebraska and Fremont before moving to Blair in 1937.

Mrs. Lucke was an active worker in the W.S.C.S. of the Blair Methodist Church and held several offices in the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Monday Afternoon Club for many years.

She is survived by her son Leland C. Lucke and three grandchildren. Mr. Lucke died on October 24, 1969. Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Wm. Paden and Mrs. Clair Kendrick of Fremont; Mrs. James Paden of North Bend and Mrs. Elmer Hartman of Sidney, Nebraska. Three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 30th, her wedding day, at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Gordon Patterson will officiate and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robert Fleming, Max Cochran, Allan Rouse, Bill Peters, Earl French, Warren Whitaker.
