Meta Adele Arp, 101, of Blair, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Meta Arp was born Dec. 22, 1898, to Henry and Emma Kahler, in Bennington.

She was married to Henry O. Arp on May 21, 1919 in Blair. Mrs. Arp was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She farmed along with her husband in the Kennard area.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington, where she was baptized and confirmed. Mrs. Arp was residing at the Carter House in Blair at the time of her death.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Loraine Arp of Griswold, and a daughter, Bernette Arp of Blair; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; a son-in-law, Willie; a great-grandson, Scott; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of services.
