Former Arlington resident Lenora Laaker Lueders, 102, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at the Tabitha Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Services are 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, near Arlington.

Lenora Scheer was born May 9, 1907 in Arlington to Wilhelm and Amelia (Kohring) Scheer. She grew up in Arlington, living there until 1983, when she moved to San Benito, Texas. She had lived in Lincoln since 2000.

On Dec. 25, 1926, she married Arthur Laaker at Albert, Kan. He died in 1977. On Octo. 3, 1981, she married Frederick Lueders in Lincoln.

Mrs. Lueders was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Harlingen, Texas; Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln; and was a former member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. As a child, she was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Charmine Laaker of Mission, Texas; daughter, Marilee “Mary” Miller of Lincoln; five grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick in 1992; five brothers; and four sisters.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
