AGNES H. LUEKE, 90

Agnes H. Lueke, 90, of Fremont, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003 at the A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 18, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. A Rosary was held Wednesday evening at Moser Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.

Agnes H. Lueke was born Feb. 20, 1913 in Elgin to George and Helen (Benner) Riedmiller. She grew up in the Elgin and Petersburg area and was a graduate of Petersburg High School.

She moved to Omaha in the late 1930s and worked at the former Cornwall’s Café. She then moved to Fremont in the early 1940s and worked at the Nebraska Ordnance Plant at Mead. She also worked as a waitress at the L-Parkway Café, Maxey’s Café and Marion’s Villa, all formerly in Fremont.

On Sept. 8, 1946, she married George F. Lueke in Fremont.

Mrs. Lueke was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont and St. Joan of Arc Circle at the church.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy “Butch” and Denise lueke, and Robert “Bob” Lueke, all of Blair; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gene and Steve Rasmussen of Herman and Georgia McTaggart of Valley; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Julich of San Mateo, Calif.; and Mildred and Gene Freeman of Reno, Nev.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Joe, John, and Leonard Riedmiller; three sisters, Margaret Julich, Clara Volcheck and Georgia Gray.

Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fremont.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
