Funeral services for Vernon Arp, age 55 of rural Kennard who died at his residence April 7, 1992 were Saturday, April 11 at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Vernon Leroy Arp was born August 9, 1936 at Blair to Otto and Ella Kuhr Arp. He attended the LeCrone and Blair Schools, graduating from Blair High School in 1954.

He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959. he resumed farming south of Kennard upon his return from the service.

In 1961, he married Sharon Rosenbaum.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children and spouses, Kaylene and Gary Franklin, Valley, Nebraska; Kevin and Pam Arp, Kennard; Koni and Leo Shallberg, Fremont, Nebraska and Kerri Arp and Scott Hiatt, Lincoln, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Aaron, Amanda and Andrea Arp and Scott and Justin Stahlecker and one sister, Irma (Mrs. Everett) Holstein of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
