Gerald “Tom” Thomas Warren, 83
Gerald “Tom” Thomas Warren, age 83 of Blair, died Monday August 10, 2015 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair after a short battle with pneumonia. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday August 15, 2015, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held Saturday prior to services beginning at 12:00 PM.
Gerald Thomas Warren was born on May 5, 1932, on the family farm in Decatur, Nebraska to George and Gertrude Warren.
On March 25, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mina L. Young in Decatur, Nebraska. Tom worked Gaydou & Brown for many years and then for Christensen Feed in Kennard. Prior to retiring, he worked at the Washington County Courthouse as a grounds keeper for many years. Tom and Mina played in a country western band in the Nebraska and Iowa areas for over 25 years. He enjoyed playing Canasta with his family members.
He is survived by his son Mark (Jenny) Warren of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter Terri (Brent) Ramsey of Blair; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Paul (Bev) Warren and Raymond (Ann) Warren; and sister Mary Lou Wedgewood.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Gertrude Warren, wife Mina L. Warren, daughter Gay A. Riley, brother Lloyd Warren and sister Joan Dorn.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
