SERVICES HELD ON WEDNESDAY FOR ETHEL COX

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 3, at First United Methodist Church for Ethel Cox, 93, of Blair, who died July 31, 1983, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Dr. Gordon Patterson officiated. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Ethel Cox was born May 13, 1890, in Macon County, Illinois, to John and Ada Ashton Russell. She married Samuel M. Cox on January 4, 1911, in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.

She was a nurses aide at Crowell Home. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; one daughter, Virginia; one sister, one brother and two granddaughters.

She is survived by two sons, Max Cox, of rural Omaha, and Gerald Cox of Omaha. Four grandsons, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Buela Graves, Stromsburg, Nebraska; and one brother, William Russell, Chico, California, also survive her.

Pallbearers were Ronald Cox, Duane Cox, Daryl Cox, Thomas Cox, Floyd Hollman and Howard Christensen.

Clare Cowing was organist. Vocalist was Homer Nielsen.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
