SERVICES FOR FRANK CRANOR WERE MONDAY

Services for 88 year old Frank C. Cranor were held on Monday, November 19, 1979 at 2 p.m. The services were in the Herman Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Schenkel officiating and Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Frank C. Cranor, age 88, of Good Shepherd Home passed away at the Blair Hospital after a short illness on November 16, 1979.

He was born in Stanberry, Missouri on December 28, 1890 and united in marriage to Dorothy Lowe on June 15, 1925.

Mr. Cranor worked for the Railroad for over 50 years and was Local chairman of the O.R.T for the Northwestern R.R. for a number of years.

He was wounded in W.W I and received the Purple Heart. He had been a Member of the V.F.W. 40 and 8, World Was I and the American Legion and had been Legion Commander at Oakland, Nebraska and Craig, Nebraska and had been the manager of the American Legion Little League baseball team at Craig, for a number of years. He received a certificate and letter of commendation from President Eisenhower for the years he worked on the Board of Selective Service.

He was a member of the Masonic and Royal Arch Lodge and of the Eastern Star.

They lived in Craig, Oakland and South Sioux City, Nebraska until he retired in 1958, and moved to Blair.

He leaves to mourn, his wife Dorothy and sister, Hester Whitely, of San Diego, California, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Wilbur Conety, Russell Uehling, Paul Lowe, Alfred Jaenike, Douglas Uehling and Glenn Miller.
