Mrs. William Craven, Sr., died at 4:20 Monday morning at her home about five miles south of Blair in Richland Township, after an illness of about one week with heart trouble. Sarah J. Daly was about sixty-five years old and was born in Balmsloe County, Galway, Ireland, and was married to William Craven, May 9th, 1860. She lived in New York about two years and came to Nebraska in 1867. She was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom besides the husband are left to mourn the death of a devoted mother and wife. The entire family was well as the grandchildren were at her bedside when she fell peacefully into the sleep that knows no waking here.

The second oldest child, Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson died in Omaha a number of years ago, and those surviving are follows: Mrs. Livingstone, Mrs. Agness Dolan, Mrs. H. Hubbard, James, John, and Don, all of Omaha, Mrs. H. Brown, of Arlington, William, of Spiker, Thomas who lives at home and Charley who lives in Craig.

The funeral services were held at the Catholic Church in Blair, Tuesday morning at 10:30 o’clock, Father O’Driscoll delivering a very impressive discourse. The remains were followed to the cemetery by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives, friends, and neighbors who mourn with the family in their great loss, but feel that the departed one has gained the reward of everlasting life for a well spent and useful life on this earth.
